We are currently seeking a Food Service Cook for dayshift to provide nourishing meals to our residents, employees, and guests. Examples of Duties The Food Service Cook will be responsible for ensuring that food is prepared and served in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities include:
    Meal Preparation:
    Prepare palatable meals while monitoring food handling, cooking, and service techniques.
      Supervision:
      Oversee dietary workers and inmates in the kitchen, ensuring proper meal production and service.
        Temperature Monitoring:
        Maintain and check hot and cold food temperatures to meet safety standards.
        Position Functions:
          Menu Review:
          Assess menus and production sheets to plan cooking schedules.
            Cooking & Seasoning:
            Measure and mix ingredients, monitor cooking processes, and make adjustments as needed.
              Portion Control:
              Prepare and distribute food according to specified serving sizes.
                Inventory Management:
                Conduct weekly inventory checks, order supplies, and ensure proper stock rotation.
                  Baking:
                  Prepare desserts and baked goods according to recipes and maintain cleanliness in the baking area.
                    Facility Maintenance:
                    Ensure the kitchen and storage areas are clean, organized, and compliant with health standards.
                      Staff Development:

                      Supplemental Information Shift Differential:
                      • $2.00/hour - 2nd shift
                      • $2.00/hour - 3rd shift
