Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line/prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about food and possess a strong understanding of food service operations. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in preparing high-quality meals that meet our standards for taste and presentation. This position requires a commitment to food safety and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations. Ensure all food safety guidelines are followed, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Assist in menu planning and development, contributing creative ideas for new dishes. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Support catering events by preparing meals as per client specifications when required. Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols. Experience Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred. Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices is essential. Familiarity with meal preparation techniques, including knife skills, is highly desirable. Experience in catering or dietary aide roles is a plus but not mandatory. Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work well under pressure in a busy kitchen environment.
