Head Cook/Manager

Job Description

Job Summary We are looking for an energetic and experienced Head Cook/Manager to lead our culinary team and oversee daily kitchen operations. In this role, you will be responsible for managing food production, ensuring top-quality service, and maintaining a smooth workflow in a dynamic hospitality environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about fine dining, skilled in team management, and experienced in food safety and kitchen management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise while leading a dedicated team to deliver exceptional dining experiences. Duties Lead and supervise kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and support personnel, ensuring efficient team performance. Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to meet high standards of quality and consistency. Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies, monitoring stock levels, and minimizing waste through effective cost control measures. Develop and plan menus that align with the restaurant's concept while incorporating dietary considerations and catering needs. Ensure all food safety sanitizing procedures are strictly followed to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment. Coordinate shift schedules, delegate tasks, and manage workflow to ensure timely service during busy periods. Oversee banquet and catering events, ensuring seamless execution from setup to service delivery. Qualifications Proven experience in food production, restaurant management, or hospitality leadership with a focus on fine dining or catering environments. Strong supervisory skills with experience managing teams in a fast-paced setting. Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and food handling regulations. Background in banquet experience, culinary arts, or the food industry with a focus on quality control. Skilled in inventory management, cost control, menu planning, and kitchen operations. Excellent leadership abilities combined with effective communication skills to motivate staff and ensure excellent service delivery. Familiarity with food service management software and inventory systems is preferred.
