Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards. Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support meal production. Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety standards. Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely delivery during service hours. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and sanitation practices. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth kitchen operations. Experience Previous experience working in a restaurant or food industry setting is highly desirable. Familiarity with dietary department procedures and dietary aide experience is a plus. Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and catering processes enhances your fit for this role. Hands-on experience with food safety management and safety standards in production environments is preferred. Strong culinary skills including food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment. Experience in food service or culinary roles that require attention to detail in food handling and meal presentation. Ability to communicate clearly with team members about kitchen operations and safety procedures.
