The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong understanding of meal preparation techniques. As a Line Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while adhering to the highest standards of food safety and quality. Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service demands. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including proper food handling and storage. Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, including knives and other cooking tools. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service during peak hours. Assist in menu planning and contribute ideas for new dishes or improvements to existing offerings. Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Support the dietary department by accommodating special dietary needs as required. Requirements Previous experience in the food industry is preferred, particularly in meal preparation and food service roles. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety practices, including proper food handling procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A passion for cooking and creating delicious meals that meet customer expectations. Experience as a dietary aide is a plus, particularly in understanding dietary restrictions and menu planning.
