Duties Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in menu planning by providing feedback on dish execution and ingredient needs. Handle food with care, following strict food safety protocols to prevent contamination and ensure freshness. Support food presentation by garnishing dishes attractively before serving. Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, including proper storage of ingredients and utensils. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation during busy service times. Participate in catering events and special functions, delivering exceptional food service that exceeds expectations. Skills Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or as a line cook in a restaurant or food industry setting. Strong knife skills and proficiency in various cooking techniques. Knowledge of dietary department practices and dietary aide experience is a plus. Ability to follow detailed recipes, menus, and portion control guidelines accurately. Excellent food handling skills combined with a solid understanding of food safety standards. Experience with meal preparation for large groups or catering is advantageous.
