Line Cook —

Part-Time or Full-Time Pay:

$17-$20 per hour, based on experience The Nook is looking for a dependable, experienced Line Cook to join our kitchen team. We have a strong pub-style menu with popular burgers and casual favorites, and we are continuing to grow and expand our food program. This is a hands-on kitchen position. We are looking for someone who is comfortable working the line during busy service, takes pride in consistent food, keeps a clean and organized workspace, and is willing to help wherever needed. Both part-time and full-time schedules are available. We are hiring for a variety of shifts, including opening, mid and closing shifts.

Responsibilities include:

Work assigned stations on the cooking line during service Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and kitchen standards Maintain consistent food quality, portions and presentation Complete basic food preparation as needed Set up and break down stations Follow proper food safety, sanitation and storage procedures Maintain a clean and organized kitchen Assist with opening and closing responsibilities Wash dishes and assist with general kitchen cleaning when needed Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift Communicate effectively with other kitchen and front-of-house staff Help the kitchen team wherever needed during busy service

Qualifications:

At least 1 year of restaurant or line-cooking experience preferred Current ServSafe Food Handler certification required Comfortable working in a fast-paced restaurant kitchen Reliable and punctual Able to follow recipes, portion standards and instructions Strong attention to cleanliness and food safety Able to work as part of a team Availability for some nights and weekends is strongly preferred

Pay:
