The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Cook As a Cook, you'll help prepare safe, high-quality meals according to planned menus in a high-production healthcare food service environment. You'll follow standardized recipes, dietary requirements, sanitation procedures, and food storage guidelines while keeping production on schedule. Your attention to food safety, food preparation, proper storage, and kitchen sanitation directly supports reliable meal service for patients and customers. A Typical Day Follow all recipes to conform with dietary restrictions. Follow correct procedures for handling raw and cooked products according to sanitary guidelines. Follow department dress code requirements. Follow sanitary guidelines for personal hygiene. Maintain the proper production schedule so food is ready in a timely manner. Perform sanitation duties as assigned. Prepare food according to the planned menu. Properly store all prepared foods using the FIFO system at all times. Report identified safety issues and hazardous environmental conditions according to established procedures. This Role Might Be For You You have experience working in high-production food service and understand the importance of staying on schedule. You take food safety, sanitation, and proper food storage seriously. You are comfortable following recipes and dietary restrictions accurately. You notice safety concerns and understand the importance of reporting them promptly. You enjoy hands-on cooking in a structured healthcare kitchen environment. To Be Considered To be considered for this Cook opportunity, a high school diploma and experience in high-production food service are required. One year hotel, restaurant, hospital or catering cooking experience. This is a per-diem day position scheduled with rotating weekends and holidays.
