In this role, you will be essential in preparing high-quality meals in a lively kitchen setting. Your responsibilities will include food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The ideal candidate is passionate about food, has solid kitchen experience, and enjoys working collaboratively to deliver delicious dishes that meet our standards. Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following established recipes and presentation standards. Assist with food prep tasks such as slicing, dicing, and portioning ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, fryers, mixers, and other appliances. Maintain cleanliness of workstations by cleaning as you go, sanitizing surfaces, and adhering to food safety management practices. Support meal assembly and plating to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy service hours. Follow safety standards in production to prevent accidents and ensure a safe environment for all team members. Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food preparation efforts and communicate effectively about orders and special requests. Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments is highly preferred. Knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices. Strong knife skills with proper slicing techniques for efficient prep work. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes. Ability to operate various kitchen equipment safely and correctly. Good communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. Catering or dietary department experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key.
