Monaco's Café is a modern European-inspired café in Mahwah, NJ, serving specialty coffee, brunch, crêpes, sandwiches, fresh pastries, and handcrafted beverages. We're looking for a reliable, organized, and passionate cook who takes pride in preparing beautiful, consistent food in a clean and professional kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare breakfast, brunch, sandwiches, crêpes, waffles, and café menu items Maintain consistency and presentation standards Prep ingredients before service Follow recipes and portion guidelines Ensure all food is prepared safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout every shift Properly label, store, and rotate food inventory (FIFO) Wash dishes and keep kitchen equipment clean Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries Work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure timely service Qualifications Previous experience as a cook, line cook, or prep cook preferred Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to detail Positive attitude and team player Reliable transportation Weekend availability required Food Handler Certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain one)
