Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and energetic cook to join our team at our pizza and sandwich shop. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality pizzas, sandwiches, and other menu items in a fast-paced environment, ensuring consistency, cleanliness, and customer satisfaction. Guaranteed Sunday and Monday off and you will make tips.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, and other menu items according to recipes and customer specifications. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and slicers safely and efficiently. Monitor food quality and freshness; maintain consistent portion sizes and presentation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas in accordance with health and safety regulations. Assist with inventory management and stock rotation; report shortages or equipment issues. Work as part of a team to ensure timely service and smooth kitchen operations. Follow all food safety procedures and kitchen protocols. Assist with opening and closing duties, including prep work and cleaning.

Qualifications:

Prior cooking or food prep experience preferred, especially in a pizzeria, deli, or fast-casual restaurant. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously. Basic understanding of food safety and sanitation practices. Strong communication skills and a team-player attitude. Dependable and punctual. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Must be available to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
