Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. Duties Lead and coordinate the daily activities of the kitchen line, ensuring timely and efficient food preparation Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and culinary techniques Oversee food production to meet recipe standards, portion control, and presentation guidelines Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and ensure proper storage to minimize waste Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation by implementing food safety sanitizing procedures Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and special event catering to enhance dining options Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation processes such as grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods Ensure all food handling practices comply with health regulations and safety standards Support the dietary department by adhering to dietary restrictions and meal specifications for special populations Foster a positive team environment that encourages collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on fine dining or high-volume production environments Strong knowledge of food industry standards including food safety management and sanitation procedures Proficiency in various cooking techniques such as grilling, braising, poaching, and meal preparation Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating commercial kitchen equipment Experience in menu planning, recipe adherence, and food presentation excellence Background in dietary aide work or dietary department experience is a plus Proven ability to lead a team in fast-paced settings while maintaining high-quality standards Strong understanding of food handling practices and catering operations Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in food production processes Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities while ensuring safety and quality standards are met Join us as a Lead Line Cook where your culinary talents will shine! $20.00 - $24.00 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 - 45.0 per week
