•Evenings and weekends required About Ready to Golf Ready to Golf is an indoor golf and social-sports venue offering golf simulators, table tennis, pickleball, private events, and food and beverages. We are looking for an experienced, dependable cook to lead our kitchen operations and help us deliver a menu featuring Korean-inspired dishes alongside popular American bar foods. Position Overview The Kitchen Manager/Lead Cook will prepare and execute menu items, maintain food-safety standards, manage kitchen organization, and help ensure consistent food quality during regular service and private events. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience preparing Korean cuisine, is equally comfortable cooking bar-food favorites, and currently holds a valid ServSafe Manager certification. Responsibilities Prepare Korean dishes and Korean-inspired menu items with consistent quality, flavor, and presentation Prepare American bar foods such as wings, burgers, fries, appetizers, sandwiches, and other casual menu items Oversee daily kitchen preparation, cooking, service, and closing procedures Maintain proper food-storage, labeling, temperature-control, sanitation, and allergen procedures Ensure compliance with local health regulations and ServSafe standards Monitor inventory and assist with ordering food, supplies, and ingredients Minimize food waste and help control portion and food costs Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen Coordinate food service for parties, corporate outings, leagues, and other events Help develop and improve recipes, specials, prep lists, and kitchen procedures Train and supervise additional kitchen staff as needed Work closely with management and front-of-house employees to provide timely service Required Qualifications Current ServSafe Manager certification Professional experience preparing Korean cuisine Experience preparing American bar food or casual restaurant fare Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, cross-contamination prevention, and temperature control Ability to manage food preparation and service independently Ability to work efficiently during busy periods and large events Reliable, organized, and able to communicate effectively Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as scheduled Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to [40-50] pounds Preferred Qualifications Previous experience as a kitchen manager, lead cook, sous chef, or chef Experience developing Korean-American or fusion menu items Experience managing inventory, ordering, and food costs Experience preparing food for parties, catered events, or high-volume service Familiarity with New Jersey food-service and health-code requirements What We Offer Competitive hourly pay based on experience Opportunity to help shape and expand our food menu Fun, energetic sports and entertainment environment Employee discount Paid Time Off Ready to Golf is an equal-opportunity employer.
