Job Description

At Something Different Grill, our Cook / Prep Cook team members help deliver the quality, consistency, convenience, and guest experience our brand is known for. We are looking for dependable, hardworking people who take pride in preparing great food, maintaining high kitchen standards, and supporting a strong team. Our restaurants are fast-paced, team-oriented environments where attention to detail, consistency, and a commitment to quality make all the difference. Our goal is to Make Someone's Day. As a Cook / Prep Cook, you will prepare fresh ingredients, complete daily prep, cook menu items according to company recipes and standards, and help maintain a clean, safe, and organized kitchen. Benefits Weekly Pay Flexible scheduling Paid shift meal Employee discount Opportunities for advancement Requirements Must be 18 years of age or older Previous kitchen or food service experience preferred but not required ServSafe or equivalent food handlers certificate Flexible availability including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs Qualifications Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Strong attention to detail and food quality Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen Ability to follow recipes, portion standards, and cooking procedures Strong communication and multitasking skills Responsibilities Prepare ingredients, proteins, vegetables, sauces, dressings, and other menu items according to company standards Follow daily prep lists and complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently Prepare and cook menu items according to company recipes and portion standards Operate kitchen equipment safely, including slicers, mixers, grills, fryers, flat tops, and ovens Maintain food quality, accuracy, portion control, and presentation standards Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products Follow all food safety, sanitation, and temperature control procedures Maintain clean and organized prep stations, cooking stations, equipment, and storage areas Stock and restock food products and kitchen supplies throughout each shift Communicate shortages, equipment concerns, or operational needs to management Assist with receiving and stocking deliveries Complete opening, closing, prep, and side work duties as assigned Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house team members to support smooth restaurant operations Support the mission of Something Different Grill by helping us
