Job Description

A Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking food according to established recipes, quality standards, and food safety requirements while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role includes operating various kitchen stations, maintaining proper food handling and rotation procedures, monitoring food quality and temperature standards, minimizing waste, and assisting with menu preparation, food setup, and service. Cooks must be able to multitask under time constraints, follow instructions, perform basic math calculations, and open or close the kitchen as needed.

In addition to food preparation, the Cook is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment in compliance with HACCP, ServSafe, and health regulations. The position requires strong teamwork, professionalism, and excellent communication with guests, coworkers, and management to ensure a positive dining experience. Candidates should have basic kitchen knowledge, be able to obtain ServSafe Food Handler Certification within 30 days of employment, and be capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including standing for extended periods, lifting, bending, and working in varying kitchen temperatures, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
