Roswell, NM Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Cook to prepare large quantities of a variety of foods in an institutional kitchen setting. The Cook will prepare meals and baked goods according to established recipes while maintaining quality and consistency. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Prepare, season, and cook meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, soups, sauces, baked goods, pastries, and desserts. Prepare large quantities of food while maintaining quality and consistency. Independently prepare and adjust recipes for bread, pastries, and desserts as needed. Measure, mix, and cook ingredients using a variety of commercial kitchen equipment. Train and assist less-experienced kitchen staff. Establish priorities and complete work with general supervision. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Requirements High School Diploma or equivalent. At least 6 months of directly related cooking or baking experience preparing large quantities of food. Ability to follow recipes and safely operate commercial kitchen equipment. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a busy kitchen environment.
