Nick's Corner Market is a family-owned deli and market at 403 Bedford Rd in Armonk, NY, serving our community since 1986. We're hiring a full time morning grill cook. You'll work directly with Dan, the owner, on a small, steady crew. Morning grill person (short order cook) 6am to 3pm Monday through Saturday - six days, 54 hours $19-$21 per hour What you'll be doing, in the owner's own words: Setting up buffet style breakfast Cooking muffins Cooking pastries Cooking 1/2 chickens Cooking roasted vegetables Cooking steak and cheese / burgers Experience preferred, but we will train you if you have a basic understanding of cooking. Dan would rather train someone honest and reliable than hire someone who says yes to everything and then can't do it on the first morning. Tell us what you have and haven't cooked and we'll go from there.

What actually matters:

Reliable transportation. The shift starts at 6am, six mornings a week, and there is very little transit running into Armonk that early - your own car is effectively required. Showing up. Six days a week, every week. That is most of the job. Enough English to take instructions directly from Dan. It does not need to be perfect. 18 years or older.
