Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our team. As a Line Cook/Prep Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and consistency of our food service. If you have a passion for cooking, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, cutting meat, and gathering spices
- Assist with menu planning and recipe development
- Cook and prepare dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and meets food safety guidelines
- Monitor food inventory and communicate any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper storage of food items
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a similar role as a Line Cook/Prep Cook is preferred
- Knowledge of food handling, food safety, and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
- Excellent knife skills for cutting and preparing ingredients
- Ability to work well in a team setting and communicate effectively with colleagues
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
