Role:
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and skilled Part-Time Weekend Cook to join our team, serving our friary and infirmary community. In this role, you will prepare delicious, nourishing meals for our resident friars and frail/elderly members in care. If you enjoy cooking wholesome food in a peaceful, supportive environment, this is a wonderful opportunity to make a meaningful difference.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook nutritious weekend breakfasts and lunches for resident friars and infirmary residents. Accommodate specific dietary needs, soft-food preparations, and texture-modified diets for infirmary residents as directed. Portion and set up simple evening meals/suppers for assembly later or serve lunch directly. Maintain high standards of kitchen cleanliness, safety, and food hygiene (following local health codes). Clean workstations, wash dishes, and store ingredients properly at the end of the shift.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Experience in food preparation, culinary settings, or institutional/senior care dining preferred. Knowledge of basic nutrition and ability to follow therapeutic/dietary guidelines. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently during shift hours. Warm, respectful demeanor suitable for a quiet religious and care environment.

Every Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (16 hours/week)

Pay:
