Duties Prepare ingredients by washing, peeling, chopping, slicing, and measuring according to recipes and safety standards Assist with meal assembly and portioning to ensure consistency and presentation quality Operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, slicers, ovens, and fryers safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment by following proper cleaning procedures Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices Support menu planning by preparing ingredients for upcoming dishes based on daily requirements Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely food preparation during service hours Skills Experience in dietary departments or dietary aide roles is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary fundamentals Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent knife skills with slicing techniques for various ingredients Understanding of food safety management and adherence to safety standards in production environments Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal preparation Effective communication skills for coordinating with kitchen staff and team members in fast-paced settings This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to develop their culinary expertise while contributing to a vibrant kitchen environment.
