Schedule:
Fridays/Saturdays, 5am - 1:30pm & Sundays/Mondays, 10am - 6:30pm General Purpose of the Job Provide nutritious meals, box lunches and snacks in regulation with the special dietary needs of the residents. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Prepare meals, box lunches, special diets and snacks Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, to include appliances, counters and shelving in accordance with State regulations. Follow safe food handling instructions, using gloves and practicing frequent hand washing. Receive, store and date all merchandise. Comply with menus approved by dietician. Maintain a cooperative working relationship with all staff. Demonstrate concern and respect for individual's rights and personal preferences. Comply with all ICF/DD regulations regarding nutrition and menu planning In conjunction with the Food Service Supervisor place orders for food and supplies. Perform all other duties as directed by the Food Service Supervisor. Additional Information Supervised by Food Service Supervisor, or mid-Level Supervisor in absence of Food Service Supervisor. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
