Position Overview :
Leonard's, a premier event venue renowned for its exceptional service and elegance, is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented Banquet Event Cook to join our team. As a Banquet Event Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food in a high-volume, fast-paced culinary environment. The position requires strict adherence to standardized recipes, food safety procedures, and production schedules. This is an exciting opportunity to demonstrate strong culinary fundamentals, including sautéing, frying, roasting, and batch cooking methods in a banquet environment.Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the food and menu preparation based upon the Banquet Event Orders. Adhere to daily work plans provided by the Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, and Sous Chef. Follow recipes and execute the daily cooking procedures alongside the culinary team. Maintain standards of sanitation, culinary hygiene, and food service techniques at all times. Follow Banquet Event Orders daily to familiarize with items that are prepped and served throughout each week. Consistently demonstrate safety precautions in the kitchens. Maintain storage areas as well as handle monthly inventories and record keeping. Ensure the appropriate storage of prepared food items, including labels and corresponding dates.Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in a high-volume catering or commercial kitchen setting preferred. Proficient in knife skills, meat fabrication, and classical cooking techniques. Strong knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen sanitation practices. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately and consistently. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Able to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Positive attitude and strong team orientation.Benefits:
