Job Description
Job Overview Bad Seed Craft Cidery is seeking a motivated and dependable Line Cook / Prep Cook to join our kitchen team. Our food program focuses on brick-fired pizzas served in a fun, fast-paced cidery environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with fresh ingredients, takes pride in preparing high-quality food, and can remain organized during busy service periods. You will help prepare ingredients, assemble pizzas, and maintain a clean and efficient kitchen. Responsibilities Prepare sauces, cheeses, meats, vegetables, and other ingredients according to established recipes Safely operate turbo chef pizza ovens pizza oven and fryers Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure pizzas meet quality standards Prepare food for daily service, private events, and busy weekend periods Follow proper portioning, presentation, and recipe guidelines Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked workstation Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene procedures Wash and sanitize utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and kitchen areas Properly label, date, rotate, and store food products Communicate with bartenders, servers, and other kitchen staff to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time Assist with opening, closing, and general kitchen cleaning duties Qualifications Previous experience in a restaurant, pizzeria, food truck, catering business, or commercial kitchen is preferred Pizza-making experience is a plus, but not required Basic knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and kitchen safety practices Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality Comfortable using knives and commercial kitchen equipment Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and able to work with limited supervision Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds Must be available to work weekends, evenings, and special events as scheduled
