Facility is seeking a compassionate and dependable Cook to join our team. The Cook is responsible for preparing nutritious, well-balanced meals that meet the dietary needs of our residents while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook daily meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements Follow physician-ordered diets, including special and therapeutic diets Ensure meals are prepared and served in compliance with NYS DOH and ALP regulations Maintain proper food handling, sanitation, and safety standards at all times Assist with menu planning and inventory control Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas Work collaboratively with dietary staff, nursing, and administration Ensure timely meal service and resident satisfaction
Qualifications:
Previous cooking experience preferred (assisted living, healthcare, or institutional setting a plus) Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to follow menus, recipes, and dietary guidelines Reliable, organized, and able to work independently Strong communication and teamwork skills Must be able to pass background check and health clearance requirements Supportive and family-oriented work environment Opportunities for growth and stability Health, Vision, Dental If you enjoy cooking and making a positive impact in the lives of seniors, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Home Sweet Home family.

$17.00 - $18.00 per hour
