Our kitchen team plays a key role in this mission by providing fresh, high-quality meals for both our banquet events and daily guests. We are currently seeking a passionate and dependable Line Cook to join our culinary team.
Job Overview:
As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes for large group events as well as daily service at our on-site restaurant. You'll maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for the careful and safe preparation of food according to chef direction and as ordered by the server Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards Follows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant. Assist with banquet event meal prep, setup, and breakdown Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and food storage areas Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly Ensure that correct amounts are pulled for prep and noting items that require replenishment Collaborate with the kitchen and event teams to ensure timely service Follow all and sanitation standards Maintain inventory and assist with stock rotation
Qualifications:
Ability to effectively communicate with guests 3+ yrs. Previous experience as a line cook or banquet cook required Mut be over 18 yrs. Of age Must be able speak, read and understand basic cooking directions Ability to follow and troubleshoot recipes/menu items with little or no difficulty Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays Commitment to quality service, food and beverage knowledge Must be able to stand for long periods Required to carry, walk, sit, push, pull, and be able to lift/carry 50 pounds Ability to work in a high-pressure environment and meet deadlines Strong communication and teamwork skills ServSafe certification is a plus
