Responsibilities Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, slicers, and fryers Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols Assist with meal preparation for service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and address any issues promptly Follow safety standards in food handling, storage, and production to prevent contamination or accidents Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation techniques Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or culinary environments preferred Strong knife skills with proficiency in slicing techniques and food preparation methods Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production Experience with dietary department procedures or dietary aide roles is a plus Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team Familiarity with catering or meal prep experience is advantageous but not required Embark on a culinary journey where your skills make a real impact!
