Position Overview:
The Production Cook prepares food for service for residents, patients, employees and visitors. What you'll do: Prepare meals for service per recipe Assist with menu and recipe development Adhere to all local, state and federal food safety and sanitation codes Accurately complete all temperature logs to ensure food safety Maintain all food storage and production areas in inspection-ready condition. Monitor overproduction to minimize waste Serve patrons and complete sales via POS in retail outlet Daily use of Food Service Management software for production sheets
Minimum Qualifications:
2 years of cooking/food production. 1 year food safety experience
Preferred Qualifications:
5 or more years of cooking in large-scale production kitchen Experience cooking in a healthcare environment Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified 2-year culinary degree
Physical Requirements:
Lifting of 50 #. Standing for long periods of time. Working in an environment that includes a wide range of temperatures including production areas and walk-in coolers/freezers.
