Sign-On Bonus Competitive Hourly Pay:
$19.30 - $22.19 per hour (based on experience) Comprehensive benefits package Paid Time Off (PTO) Retirement savings plan Opportunities for career growth and advancement Supportive team environment Stable healthcare organization with multiple locations What You'll Do As a Cook II, you'll play a vital role in preparing nutritious, appealing meals while maintaining the highest standards of food quality and safety.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare meals for patients, residents, visitors, and staff Cook a variety of menu items from scratch using standardized recipes Follow production schedules while minimizing food waste Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards Accurately complete food temperature logs and production records Ensure food is attractively presented and served with quality in mind Keep kitchen work areas, storage rooms, and equipment clean and organized Participate in daily production meetings and work collaboratively with the Nutritional Services team
What We're Looking For Required:
Previous cooking experience Experience preparing meals from scratch using recipes Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, proper food handling, cooking temperatures, and kitchen equipment Ability to organize multiple tasks in a busy kitchen environment
Preferred:
Experience working under HACCP standards Previous hospital, nursing home, or healthcare food service experience Formal culinary education or training beyond high school Why Join UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health?
