Job Description
Job Overview We are on the lookout for a passionate and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you'll be a key player in preparing delicious, high-quality meals in a lively kitchen setting. Your expertise in food preparation, safety standards, and kitchen operations will help ensure our guests enjoy memorable dining experiences. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about food, detail-oriented, and eager to work collaboratively with a dynamic team to deliver exceptional service every day. Duties Prepare ingredients and cook menu items following established recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards. Assist in meal preparation by slicing, dicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Operate various kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to support food production. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment to meet food safety and sanitation standards. Support the team during busy service hours by ensuring timely food preparation and plating. Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, storage, and kitchen operations to prevent contamination or accidents. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate meal assembly and address any issues promptly. Experience Previous experience in food service, restaurant kitchens, or catering environments is highly desirable. Familiarity with dietary department procedures or dietary aide experience is a plus. Knowledge of menu planning, recipe adherence, and food safety management practices. Skilled in operating kitchen equipment such as ovens, fryers, slicers, and mixers. Strong understanding of food industry standards including safety regulations and proper food handling techniques. Experience with meal preparation for large groups or catering events is beneficial.
