Two facilities committed to providing outstanding Subacute Rehab and Long-Term Skilled Nursing Care. Together, these facilities offer patients the best rehab and nursing care they can obtain after their hospital discharge. The Cook is responsible for preparation/cooking of foods and to provide our residents with all of their meals and/or snacks in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all policies and procedures of the facility while focusing on customer service and satisfaction Cook will provide our residents with all of their meals in a sanitary and safe manner adhering to all dietetic needs, policies, and procedures of the facility and New York State Department of Health codes while focusing on customer service and satisfaction. Cook will use proper dining room service for the residents and/or family members Cook will use proper "in kitchen" preparation and cleaning in regard to the station assigned to you Cook will prepare all foods adhering to all NY State codes and regulations for sanitation, storage and temperature Requirements Minimum High School Diploma (or equivalent) Experience and training in food preparation in a health care facility or related food service operation Completion of an approved sanitation course or equivalent preferred Minimum 1 years' experience as a Cook in a health care setting desired Must have a full knowledge of all sanitary codes and all menu production methods. Excellent communication and organization skills Ability to work well under pressure and be flexible Exemplary customer service skills Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but
