Sag Harbor Tavern — Line Cook - Seasonal Sag Harbor, NY Sag Harbor Tavern, the sister restaurant to Red Hook Tavern, brings classic American tavern fare to the waterfront village of Sag Harbor. Built on the same foundation of thoughtful cooking and genuine hospitality, the kitchen focuses on high-quality ingredients, strong technique, and a menu centered around exceptional seafood from the surrounding waters. We're looking for a seasonal, full-time line cook to join the team. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, consistent, and takes pride in their work. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining attention to detail and a strong sense of teamwork. The Role You'll work closely with the Chef and kitchen team on daily prep and service, contributing to a kitchen that values consistency, cleanliness, and execution. What You'll Do Support the Chef and kitchen team with daily prep and service Execute dishes consistently and to standard during service Assist with family meal production Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station Complete station prep, inventories, and checklists Follow proper food handling procedures, including labeling, dating, and rotation Safely operate and maintain kitchen equipment Ensure compliance with health department standards and kitchen protocols Work collaboratively with the team to keep service running smoothly What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of back-of-house experience Strong knife skills and solid foundational technique Ability to stay organized and composed in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented with a positive, professional attitude Reliable, punctual, and detail-driven Problem-solving mindset and ability to adapt during service Commitment to cleanliness, organization, and consistency Food Handler Certification preferred Strong references
