Responsibilities:
Prepare and execute high-quality food items for catering events of varying sizes and styles Perform mise en place, including chopping, portioning, marinating, and prepping ingredients ahead of service Follow recipes, plating guides, and presentation standards consistently Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen workspace in compliance with food safety regulations Assist with loading, transporting, and setting up food for off-site catering events Monitor food inventory, rotate stock, and communicate supply needs to kitchen leadership Collaborate with the catering team to ensure timely and smooth event execution
Requirements:
Previous experience in a professional kitchen, catering, or food service environment preferred Knife skills and knowledge of basic cooking techniques and methods Ability to follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality and presentation Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling (ServSafe a plus) Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as event schedules require Reliable, punctual, and able to work well both independently and as part of a team Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
