THE OPPORTUNITY
We are seeking an experienced Line Cook with a strong background in Vietnamese, Asian, or Southeast Asian cuisine to join a fast-paced restaurant kitchen. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with wok cooking, noodles, rice dishes, proteins, vegetables, sauces, broths, and traditional Vietnamese preparations . This is a hands-on position for a reliable cook who can maintain consistency, speed, and quality during busy service.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare and execute Vietnamese and Asian menu items according to established recipes and standards Confidently operate a wok station during high-volume service Prepare noodle and rice dishes, proteins, vegetables, sauces, broths, and other menu components Prepare Vietnamese staples including bánh mì, spring rolls, and other traditional dishes Execute high-heat, fast-paced wok cooking while maintaining quality and consistency Complete daily prep, including vegetable preparation, protein portioning, sauces, marinades, and other ingredients Follow recipe specifications, portion controls, plating, and presentation standards Maintain a clean, organized, stocked, and properly set-up station Follow all food safety, sanitation, storage, and cleanliness procedures Communicate effectively with the kitchen team throughout service Work efficiently and maintain composure during high-volume periods Support the overall kitchen operation as needed
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Previous professional experience cooking Vietnamese, Asian, or Southeast Asian cuisine is required Strong wok cooking experience highly preferred Previous Line Cook experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment Familiarity with Vietnamese ingredients, sauces, noodles, herbs, spices, and cooking techniques Strong knife skills and food-preparation abilities Ability to execute multiple menu items quickly and consistently Experience working in a high-volume restaurant environment Strong understanding of proper food handling, sanitation, and kitchen organization Reliable, punctual, organized, and team-oriented Ability to work effectively under pressure during busy service
