Our kitchen team is led by a fun-loving, enthusiastic and creative Food Service Director / Head Chef with 10+ years' food service industry experience. Our recently constructed serenity garden offers a multi-functional patio area that surrounds raised planters. Fresh, home-grown herbs, vegetables and fruits are harvested for use in preparing meals. Our BBQ smoker is a fun option for cooking food in a controlled, smoky environment. Job duties include performing prep work such as washing, peeling, and cutting; completing hot meal preparation by grilling, sautéing, roasting, frying and broiling ingredients, preparing menu items according to approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control; serving patients, staff and visitors in a friendly, efficient manner; setting up and breaking down hot/cold food station; operating kitchen equipment (slicer, mixer, grill, oven, fryer, dishwasher) in accordance with health department and OSHA guidelines, using proper techniques for food handling and storing leftovers; cleaning and sanitizing work areas, equipment and utensils; washing dishes and ensuring compliance with applicable Department of Health food service regulations.
