Job Description

Line/Prep Cook Summary The line/prep cook will prepare food according to Evexia's expectations and will set up stations in the kitchen. Line cook duties consist of assembling salads, paninis, flatbreads, smoothies and other items in a timely manner on the line. The line/prep cook is a responsible, team-player who will not get overwhelmed during busier times. Responsibilities Assemble quality food based on restaurant's standards, including salads, panini's, smoothies, and flatbreads. Adhere to customer requests for dietary restrictions or substitutions. Ensure cross contamination is avoided by adhering to requirements around glove changing and utensil usage. Chop produce and prepare ingredients based on par guidelines. Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff. Clean up the station and take care of leftover food properly. Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion. Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. Requirements Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks. Previous experience working in restaurant kitchen Ability to stay organized when busy with a positive attitude. Familiarity with allergy/cross-contamination prevention is a plus. Proficiency in safely cutting and chopping food. Knowledge of proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices. Ability to work effectively with other kitchen staff. Follow recipes and instructions precisely. Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive and physical tasks (ie: standing, squatting, lifting above head).
Pay:
$15.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 35.0 per week
