Description Shenanigans in Dover, OH is looking to hire an immediate full-time/parttime line cook/prep cook position for an individual interested in working in a short order cook setting. Knowledge of standard food safety protocols, proper temping of cooked meats, and knife skills are a strong requirement to fulfill the position. Current certification with ServSafe and/or a background of culinary education would be an advantage for gained employment. Newly remodeled kitchen in an airconditioned environment at a growing establishment that has become one of the premier places in Tuscarawas County for food, drink, and entertainment. Starting wage for the position is $17.00/hr., flexible scheduling within reason, all employees receive half off meals at all time. Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment Daily preparation of recipes and items used over the course of the day/week Utilizing multiple different modes of cooking Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Proper storage of all food items Check quality of ingredients Skills Proven experience as cook Knife skills Knowledge of cooking temperatures Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.) Ability to follow all sanitation procedures Ability to work in a team Very good communication skills Efficiency Attention to detail
