Oversees the daily operation of the kitchen by maintaining food quality, sanitation standards, inventory, menu planning, and regulatory compliance. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve nutritious, appealing meals for residents according to planned menus. Develop menus that provide variety, balanced nutrition, and accommodate resident preferences. Prepare meals that meet therapeutic diets and physician-ordered dietary requirements. Bake fresh breads, desserts, and snacks for residents throughout the week. Order food, beverages, kitchen supplies, and cleaning products while maintaining established budget guidelines. Maintain appropriate inventory levels by monitoring stock, rotating products, minimizing waste, and ensuring adequate supplies are available for daily operations. Receive, inspect, and properly store food deliveries, ensuring product quality and compliance with food safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen in accordance with all local, state, and company standards. Ensure compliance with Ohio Administrative Code Rule 3701-16-10 and all food safety regulations. Prepare food in advance to ensure consistency and smooth kitchen operations during scheduled days off. Maintain proper food storage, labeling, and temperature logs. Present meals attractively and ensure timely meal service. Build positive relationships with residents by learning their food preferences and providing excellent customer service. Work collaboratively with management and other departments to meet resident needs. Assist with special events, holiday meals, and resident celebrations as needed. Maintain a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment. 12 Month Success Tracking Maintain resident satisfaction with meals and dining experience as measured through resident surveys, family feedback, and comment cards. Achieve a communication rating of "10" with the Executive Director based on annual performance evaluations. Maintain full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and dietary regulations during inspections and internal audits. Maintain food and supply inventory within budget while ensuring products are consistently available for resident meals and snacks. Maintain accurate ordering and inventory records with minimal product shortages or excess waste. Demonstrate effective inventory management by minimizing food waste and maintaining adequate kitchen supplies. Consistently provide high-quality meal presentation and timely meal service. Maintain excellent attendance, punctuality, and adherence to company policies. Receive no substantiated complaints regarding food quality, sanitation, or professionalism.
