Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated Back of House Team Member to join our culinary team. This role is essential in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining a clean and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, culinary skills, and experience in food handling and safety protocols. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within the food industry and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. Duties Assist with menu planning and meal preparation to ensure timely service Prepare ingredients and cook food items according to established recipes and standards Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices during all stages of food handling Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives and other culinary tools Support catering events by preparing and serving food as needed Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and organizing supplies Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers following safety guidelines Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service flow Follow all health and safety regulations to uphold food safety standards Skills Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is a plus Knowledge of menu planning, food preparation, and cooking techniques Strong understanding of food safety practices and proper handling procedures Experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly desirable Culinary experience with knife skills and meal preparation expertise Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting Excellent teamwork, communication, and organizational skills Flexibility to adapt to various tasks within the kitchen environment This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts, eager to grow their skills in the food industry, and committed to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
