This position is responsible for preparing ingredients, executing menu items to recipe standards, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, and supporting efficient kitchen operations during service. The ideal candidate takes pride in consistency, works with urgency, and contributes positively to a professional kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Prepare ingredients according to recipes, prep lists, and production needs. Execute menu items accurately and consistently during service. Follow portioning, presentation, and quality standards. Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked stations throughout the shift. Practice proper food handling, labeling, dating, storage, and FIFO procedures. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Complete opening, running, and closing duties as assigned. Communicate effectively with team members and management. Follow all health department, sanitation, and safety guidelines. Support cross-training efforts and assist in other kitchen areas when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous kitchen experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality. Ability to follow recipes and instructions consistently. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
