We offer seasonal menus and are a scratch kitchen; from our focaccia bread to salad dressings to desserts. We are a family unit which makes our company special. We continue to win awards on Open Table and local awards as well. We strive to be better and grow everyday. Coldwater Cafe is seeking a Sauté Cook to join our dedicated kitchen staff! You will assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our professional kitchen.

Responsibilities:

Prepare all food on sauté side (fish to temp, proper cooking of vegetables, making risotto, making sauces, etc) Break down and clean all seafood items (salmon, halibut, scallops, etc) Make sauces, clean vegetables, make soup, risotto, grits, purees, salads, etc. Memorize, record, and comprehend menu items, abbreviations, plate appearance, and portions Follow standard recipes and special diet orders Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Adhere to all sanitation and food production codes

Qualifications:

Previous experience in cooking, culinary arts, or other related fields Knowledge of kitchen equipment and proper cooking techniques Must know proper temps of meat and fish Knowledge of proper knife cuts and culinary terms Strong attention to detail in preparation and execution Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment Must be able to multi-task, follow a prep list, and be set up by 4:45pm daily Must be punctual Ability to work well in teams Must have a positive and respectful attitude
