Duties include preparing ingredients, adhering to the Diner menu, and following food health, and safety procedures. Cook, clean, assist other cooks and staff and deliver food in a fast-paced environment. Work will include operating a grill, fryer, microwave other kitchen equipment, and utensils. Requirements Treat every guest as a guest in your own home. Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stations Maintain backup supplies. Preparing food items for the shift. Preparing utensils, fryers and grill for shift. Receiving orders from waitstaff on handwritten tickets, or computerized system. Memorize our menu. Cooks must accurately prepare food orders as stated in training material. Cooks must accurately plate food orders as stated in training material. Cook food orders according to health and safety standards. Handle multiple food orders at one time. Monitor multiple food orders as new orders arrive. Ensure each guest order has the correct food and sides. Delivering food order to waitstaff in a timely manner. Store all food properly. Sanitize and clean work stations and utensils. Assist other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed. Comply with health regulations. Maintain regular cleaning standards and sanitation levels. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. Physical stamina to withstand a full shift while standing. Expected to work in an efficient manner and be a self-starter. Retain self-composure. Possess a sense of urgency and timing. Must be willing and able to follow instructions. Must have the ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure. Be willing to work unpredictable hours to meet work demands or fill in for staff. Maintain an atmosphere free of intimidation, discrimination, harassment, poor attitude, or poor work performance. Dress and act professionally each day.
Pay:
$11.00 - $13.00 per hour
