Assist with menu planning by suggesting creative ideas and ensuring ingredient availability. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by following proper sanitation procedures and cleaning schedules. Handle food safely by adhering to food handling guidelines, safety standards, and hygiene practices at all times. Support food service operations by coordinating with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal delivery. Contribute to food safety management by monitoring storage conditions, labeling ingredients correctly, and preventing cross-contamination. Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of food preparation techniques, including slicing, chopping, and cooking methods. Experience with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation in a food industry setting. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen staff and team members. Familiarity with safety standards in production environments and proper food handling procedures. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Catering or restaurant experience is a plus, showcasing versatility in food service environments.
