Description:
Timberline offers exciting, fresh cuisine made with locally-sourced ingredients. From our seasonal menus to our award-winning wine program and glacier-fed microbrewery, we put exceptional care and effort into every aspect of our guests' dining experience. Come join our culinary team at Timberline and help show the state of Oregon what we have to offer. We are now hiring a prep cook for all of the hotel restaurants including the Rams Head, Blue Ox and the Cascade Dining Room. Preparation of all food items on departmental menus, kitchen prep and quality control, sanitation of work area. Additional tasks as assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to dishwashing and cleaning the kitchen.
Requirements:
Kitchen preparation and food quality control. Prep of all food items on departmental menus Ensure prep work has been completed in accordance with established procedures.. Sanitation of all working areas. Maintain cleanliness in freezers, walk-ins and dry storage areas. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor to include but not limited to dishwashing, cleaning, sweeping & mopping. Check in and properly store deliveries, label boxes, rotate fresh stock and verify inventories. Understand operation of all kitchen equipment. Ensure orders include an electronic generated ticket. Actively participate in RLK and Company's Health & Safety Program by identifying and reporting potential hazards, reporting incidents, and promoting a healthy workplace. Exercise stewardship of all RLK and Company facilities and environments, ensuring that efforts are made to reduce, reuse, and recycle when the opportunity is present. Present a professional, quality image at all times. Exercising sound judgment and awareness regarding language, behavior, and dress and grooming. Regular and reliable attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using a knife preferred. Must display cleanliness and good sanitation practices. Must be efficient, detail oriented and capable of following established procedures as trained. Must have valid Oregon Food Handlers permit.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. Must be able to carry 50 lbs up a staircase. Must be able to work in tight spaces. Must be able to work on feet, stand and walk for up to 8 hours at a time. Must be able to keep up with the pace of the department/position demands. Must be flexible and capable of bending, twisting and kneeling.
