Grill Cook / Food Truck Team Member Island Eats - Hawaiian BBQ Food Truck Island Eats is looking for an energetic, dependable Grill Cook / Food Truck Team Member to join our crew! We specialize in Hawaiian-style BBQ, serving favorites like Kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, Kalua ribs, ahi poke, rotating specials, and more. This is not your typical kitchen job. Our team works in and around a food truck, with much of our meat grilled and barbecued outdoors. You'll be cooking, preparing orders, interacting directly with customers, operating our POS system, and helping manage DoorDash and other incoming orders. We're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, working with people, and being part of a fun, fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Grill and prepare Hawaiian BBQ meats and other menu items Prepare and assemble customer orders accurately and efficiently Follow recipes, portioning, food-safety, and quality standards Work comfortably at an outdoor grill in varying weather conditions Take customer orders and provide friendly, upbeat service Operate the POS/register system and handle payments Receive, prepare, and complete DoorDash orders Keep the food truck, grill area, equipment, and workstations clean and organized Restock and complete prep as needed Work as part of a small team where everyone jumps in and helps wherever needed What We're Looking For Grill, restaurant, food truck, or kitchen experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Friendly and confident interacting with customers Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently Able to multitask between cooking, customer service, and incoming orders Comfortable working in a small food-truck environment and outdoors Passion for good food and creating a great customer experience Important Workspace Information Island Eats operates out of a compact food truck with limited overhead clearance. Applicants should be comfortable safely working for extended periods in a workspace with a low ceiling (approximately 5'10" in some areas).
