Job Description
WCP is looking for a cook to help us serve our neighborhood customers delicious brunchy plates!
Our limited line is a small but bustling station, cranking out quiche, salads, and butter-packed biscuit-related goodies. Working closely with the baking staff, you will be prepping elements of our offerings such as greens for salads, sausage gravy, and other food related needs as a team. The menu we offer is simple with few changes, except for the constant rotation of seasonal ingredients. The line is intimate and part of an open kitchen, requiring professional communication skills as the customers peer behind the curtain to see "how the sausage is made", so to speak.
The shifts that we are looking to cover are Sunday- Wednesday/Thursday, 6:45-3ish. Wednesday or Thursday is a shorter prep shift to help prepare the BOH for the weekend. We try to keep predictable schedules week to week but are looking for someone who is willing to be a little flexible when vacation times for coworkers pop up. We like to cover for each other. There are a lot of poached eggs going on in here, along with bread baking and pickling of seasonal veggies. Experience with baking is a plus for those shorter production shifts.
This is a tipped shift. After 6 months, we have a review during which a possible (likely) raise will be discussed.
