Job Description
Hello, we are looking for an experienced line cook to add to our teamWe are a bar located on Willamette Falls Drive that also serves a from scratch breakfast Thursday - Sunday. A few months ago we rolled out a new lunch/dinner menu that is made in house as much as possibleYou will be expected to prioritize and work through a prep list that you write upon starting your shift, using a checklist and par sheets.
Execute straight forward recipes.good knife skills are a plus but we can teach you those, more important is the ability and willingness to learn.
Put away orders when necessary.
Keep up with the dish pit as we have no designated dishwasher position other than on our busy Sunday brunch.
After your training shifts you will be working mostly alone so you will need to be self motivated.
There is room for some creativity in making specials, but this is not required.
Our daily lunch/dinner shifts are 10am-4pm or 2pm-10pm. Night shifts end around 11 PM on Friday and Saturday. There might also be some availability for breakfast shifts. Tips average 2$ an hour.
We are looking for people with skills working the line and/or prep work. You do not need to have it all to be considered, we are more than happy to train you up and develop the skills we value. Good communication skills along with quality and consistent food production are more important than years of service.
Currently looking to hire a candidate asap for Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday night shifts.
