Job Description

Job Overview OddBird Café is seeking dependable and motivated Prep Cooks and Line Cooks to support daily kitchen operations and help deliver a consistent, high-quality café experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment, values teamwork, and takes pride in food quality, cleanliness, and consistency. Line Cooks are responsible for preparing menu items according to café standards while supporting prep production, food safety, organization, and efficient kitchen operations during service periods. Duties Prepare menu items according to recipes, procedures, and presentation standards Support prep production and assist with service execution during busy periods Maintain food quality, consistency, and proper holding temperatures Follow food safety, sanitation, labeling, and FIFO procedures Maintain clean, organized, and inspection-ready workstations Complete opening, closing, and cleaning responsibilities Communicate effectively with kitchen leadership and team members Support a positive, team-focused kitchen environment Qualifications Previous kitchen or food service experience required Experience in high-volume or fast-paced kitchens preferred Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently while maintaining quality standards Reliable transportation and consistent attendance required Ability to work flexible schedules, including mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods as needed Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in food preparation. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Comfortable working around hot kitchen equipment, sharp tools and food allergens. Pay:
$16.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 15.0 - 40.0 per week
