We are looking for a dependable, organized, and hardworking part-time cook to join our child care center. The primary responsibility of this position is preparing and serving lunch for the children in our care, followed by kitchen cleanup. Once lunch preparation and cleanup are completed, the remainder of the shift will be spent assisting with general cleaning duties throughout the center. We are looking for someone who can work independently, manage their time efficiently, and help us maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for our children and staff. This position offers consistent weekday hours with no evenings or weekends. Responsibilities Prepare and serve daily lunches for children at our child care center. Follow established menus and meal preparation guidelines. Wash dishes and clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and equipment after lunch. Follow proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures. Perform general cleaning duties throughout the center once kitchen responsibilities are completed. Assist with sweeping, mopping, sanitizing surfaces, and other cleaning tasks as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently. Basic cooking and food preparation skills. Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices. Good organizational and time-management skills. Willingness to assist with general cleaning duties throughout the center. Must obtain all required Pennsylvania child care employment clearances and background checks.
