Assistant Dietary Manager Transitions Healthcare North Huntingdon is currently seeking an Assistant Dietary Manager to join our team of talented caregivers. Assistant Dietary Manager Responsibility Highlights include: Oversees and assists with the assembly and review of food and diet trays for accuracy according to planned menu, tray ticket specification, diet preference, regulatory portioning and diet order all according to the established time schedules. Ensures that food is served in an attractive, appetizing manner. Uses proper tasting technique to ensure quality taste and palatability prior to service. Sets up serving line with cold foods, condiments, serving containers, dishes, silverware, etc. according to the menus and regulatory guidelines. Prepares, stores, and disposes of food using proper food handling, food labeling, and food safety techniques according to established policies and procedures. Ensures the maintenance of proper temperature food of during preparation and service and records food temperatures according to facility and regulatory guidelines. Ensure the thermometers are properly calibrated and record food temperatures including refrigerator and freezers according to company and regulatory guidelines. Oversees and assists with the delivery of loaded food carts and nourishments to hallways and returns and unloading carts to the dish washing area according to company and regulatory guidelines. Oversees and assists with the collection and transporting of soiled trays and utensils from dining room tables to the dish washing area according to company and regulatory guidelines. Oversees and assist with dish washing and storing of dishes and utensils according to company and regulatory guidelines including wash, rinse and chemical temperatures and recordation of the same.
Assistant Dietary Manager Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Valid CDM or CFM Certification Strongly Preferred Valid Serve Safe Certification preferred. Minimum of two years related work experience either in an institutional food service setting or setting that required preparation of food in high quantities preferred. Minimum of one year of supervisory experience preferred. CPR and First Aid certification required. eoe #THCNH
