Responsibilities Assist with menu planning by preparing ingredient lists and following recipes accurately to ensure consistency and quality. Prepare and cook food items according to established standards, demonstrating proficiency in food handling, slicing techniques, and knife skills. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by adhering to strict cleaning schedules and safety standards in production environments. Support food safety management practices by following proper food handling procedures and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Collaborate closely with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service delivery. Contribute to catering events or special meal services by assisting with food presentation and portioning. Experience Previous experience working in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Proven background in food service or restaurant environments with knowledge of food industry standards. Hands-on culinary experience including recipe adherence, meal preparation, and operating commercial kitchen equipment. Familiarity with safety standards related to food handling, cooking techniques, and kitchen sanitation practices. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with kitchen staff and team members. Experience in menu planning, food preparation, catering, or similar roles that require attention to detail in recipe execution. Knowledge of knife skills, slicing techniques, and food safety management systems is a plus.
